GENERAL DESCRIPTION
OF THE PROJECT

:
GasPak LNG Terminal Project is located within the Jhari Creek of Port Qasim, Karachi and assumes a layout where berthing area is located approximately 10km to the southwest of the existing Port. The facility aims to accommodate a full time berthing of an FSRU vessel (170,000m3 capacity) at its berthing area which will receive LNG from various  LNGC vessels (up to 266,000m3 capacity) via ship to ship connection. The LNG will then be re-gasified at the FSRU and transferred to the gas transmission pipeline via HP loading arms. Berthing area will be connected to the onshore receiving facility via a gas transmission pipeline which will consist of; a connecting trestle between loading platform and the mangrove island, pipeline through the mangrove island, creek crossing portion and onshore pipeline portion.

ECAP Services within the scope of the Project consist of;
- Maritime, civil, structural concept engineering for berthing area structures,
- Dredging design for the berthing pocket,
- Design interface management with the electrical, mechanical, process designer,
- Technical support to STFA Construction Group during negotiations with the Client towards EPC works,
- Technical support towards procurement of long lead items.
